Phnom Penh: The Collective Union of Movement of Workers and CARE on August 17, jointly opened a training session to educate peers about the practice of transferring knowledge gained from the training and study and discover some new topics at Poulo Wai Hotel Phnom Penh.

A total of 24 peer educators participated in today's review session and exchanged views and shared experiences gained from the past on issues and solutions for daily life.

Participants were reminded of topics that had been studied and practiced in the past, including social protection, gender-based violence, and financial management. At the same time, participants also gain new knowledge, such as leadership and dispute resolution.

Pav Sina, President of CUMW, instructed the participants, as well as all local union leaders, to address the problems of workers at the grassroots level. It is important that all members need to take the knowledge they have learned so far and pass it to their local level for the benefit of all workers.

He added that CUMW is always trying to find partner organizations to develop the capacity, knowledge and ability of local union leaders, and all workers should also join the union movement to study, better understand and protect their rights such as their legitimate interests.

Labor disputes are a daily occurrence in the general community at the grassroots level and also require regular resolution to protect workers' rights, freedoms and interests from exploitation by employers. "As union leaders, we must not be tired of solving workers' problems when they have problems and seek our help," he said.
