Phnom Penh: CUMW President, Pav Sina, expressed his support and applause for the efforts to create 300,000 new jobs every year so that people can have jobs, but he said that in addition to creating jobs for the people, the Royal Government should know that there is more work to be done.

His remarks came after Prime Minister Hun Sen urged relevant institutions to create at least 300,000 jobs for citizens each year and between 1 million to 1.5 million jobs in the national assembly one term, while the Royal Government is trying to build all the hard and soft foundations to serve to attract investors in Cambodia.

Pav Sina said on June 25, that the work to be done includes expanding more vocational training centers, although the government, through the Ministry of Labor and vocational training, has launched the TVET program, but has yet to respond to the demand, especially the growth of young people who have dropped out of school and turned to skills.

"Young people who are continuing their education need to learn skills and general knowledge at the same time in order to be able to meet job requirements after graduation, so that they can get both theory and practice," he said.

Pav Sina added that thinking more about working conditions, which is very important, needs to be carefully considered to avoid coercion, oppression, exploitation and violation of staff rights, etc. need to be improved.
