Phnom Penh: The second meeting of the National Minimum Wage Council, held on September 3, 2025, unanimously agreed on a figure of $218.

The $218 minimum wage will be included in the 2026 negotiations for workers in the garment, footwear, bag, and travel products sectors in Cambodia.
Despite global economic challenges, including the border dispute with Thailand, Cambodia has maintained its annual minimum wage negotiations for workers.

The ongoing negotiations on the 2026 minimum wage demonstrate the high level of concern shown by the Royal Government of Cambodia, led by the Ministry of Labor and Vocational Training, for workers in this vital sector.
For the 2025 minimum wage, the negotiating parties succeeded in establishing an additional $4 on top of the base wage of $204, bringing the total to $208 in 2025. The 2026 minimum wage negotiations are expected to proceed smoothly, as in previous years.
