Svay Rieng: More than 1,000 workers at the Sany furniture factory in the Tay Seng 3 Special Economic Zone, Prey Kaki Village, Prey Kaki Commune, Chantha District, Svay Rieng Province, gathered on September 11, 2025, to protest the company’s failure to pay salaries.

According to the workers of the company, who spoke to an officer of the Collective Union of Movement of Workers, the company has not paid its workers yet.

The workers reported that the company has not paid its wages, especially citing frequent wage abuses that led to today’s protest.

The workers’ demands are that the company must meet four conditions, including paying wages immediately, paying them regularly and in full, removing the Chinese accounting position from the job, and ensuring that overtime must be voluntary.
