Phnom Penh: On July 21, 2024, the Collective Union of Movement of Workers (CUMW) conducted a training course on the fundamentals of unions for 40 workers from five factories in Phnom Penh.
Pav Sina, the President of CUMW, praised the workers for their bravery in joining the independent trade union to establish a union in their factory. This union aims to protect and promote the rights, freedoms, and legal interests of workers in their community.
Project Manager Ken Chhenglang explained to the participants that unions are professional organizations created and led by workers. Their main purpose is to serve the interests of all workers.

The Collective Union of Movement of Workers (CUMW) is an independent trade union that was established on June 1, 2010. Since its founding, it has actively supported workers in various sectors, including garment, footwear, handbags, construction, services, and metal industries in Cambodia.
The Collective Union of Movement of Workers (CUMW) operates based on three fundamental principles: Independence, Democracy, and Solidarity. These principles guide the organization in achieving its important mission, vision, values, and the services it provides as a trade union.
