Phnom Penh: Cambodia has ample potential to be a good business location for investors, with Cambodia having both the appropriate infrastructure, human resources, and especially its continued economic and market growth.

Today is the second day of the 2025 Global Textile Summit, which is held under the theme of Creating the Future: Competitiveness and Sustainability, with key stakeholders attending the summit.

On Monday, Minister of Labor and Vocational Training Heng Sour also highlighted that the 2025 Global Textile Summit in Cambodia will make Cambodia a more attractive destination for both businesses and investments.

The Minister said the summit will discuss ways to improve labor standards, environmental management and circular economy practices, and prepare to meet global expectations to strengthen the textile sector’s capacity to thrive amid global economic changes and Cambodia’s upcoming graduation from Least Developed Country (LDC) status.

The Cambodia Global Textile Summit 2025 is a forum for government leaders, international brand owners, industry stakeholders, employer representatives, and workers’ organizations to explore strategies and policies to make Cambodia a more attractive destination for businesses looking to source goods, services, and manufacturing.

Here are five key factors that business owners and investors should not overlook:

Economic Growth and Stability: Cambodia has consistently achieved robust economic growth rates of 5%-7% since 2013, providing a stable macroeconomic environment.

Open Investment Policies: The country allows 100% foreign ownership in most sectors and has no restrictions on foreign exchange transactions, making it highly attractive for international investors.

Strategic Location: Strategically located in the ASEAN region, Cambodia benefits from its proximity to major markets and participation in free trade agreements like RCEP.

Incentives and Tax Benefits: Qualified Investment Projects (QIPs) receive generous incentives such as tax exemptions and special depreciation entitlements.

Diverse Investment Opportunities: Key sectors include manufacturing, tourism, agriculture, and digital technology, offering a range of investment options
