Phnom Penh: The Ministry of Labor and Vocational Training has called on the workers of Color Star (CAMBODIA) PRODUCT CO., LTD to trust and wait for the ministry’s solution and to avoid resorting to protests.

The Ministry of Labor and Vocational Training issued a notice to the public, especially to the workers and employees of Color Star (CAMBODIA) PRODUCT CO., LTD, located on Street 272, Prek Chrey Village, Spean Thmar Village, Dangkor District, Phnom Penh. The notice comes after receiving news on May 19, 2025, about the workers’ protest against the company’s new location.

The Ministry of Labor has negotiated the case and reached an agreement: the company will make payments to terminate the employment contracts for workers who do not voluntarily continue working at the new location. Specifically, on the morning of May 20, 2025, under the coordination of the Ministry, the company agreed to pay four types of compensation in accordance with the law as follows:

1. Unpaid wages
2. Payment for remaining annual leave
3. Payment for prior notice
4. Severance pay

In this regard, the Ministry calls on the workers and employees of COLOR STAR (CAMBODIA) PRODUCT CO., LTD to trust and await the Ministry’s resolution and to avoid protesting by blocking public roads, which would disrupt public order and may lead to legal violations, which are criminal offenses.
