Phnom Penh: The President of the Collective Union of Movement of Workers, Pav Sina, after concluding the talks on negotiating the minimum wage for workers in 2024, which was held on September 18, expressed his expectation that wage negotiations could lead to more positive changes.

"For me, today's result is not a final decision. We recognize that some changes in the position of the union side, although not unanimous, but we have arguments and the same reasons," said Pav Sina. "We also understand each other's difficulties in a situation where global demand is declining, and I expect the results to be more positive."

It should be noted that this morning, September 18, the National Minimum Wage Council held its fifth round of talks to negotiate an increase in the minimum wage for workers in 2024.

Despite the difficult economic situation around the world, the negotiation of the minimum wage for workers in Cambodia can still go smoothly and is expected to advance in the sixth round of talks to be held on September 28. In this regard, the parties concerned may reach a consensus in determining the wage figures of workers in 2024.
